Connor Chapman, Ph.D.

Consulting Meteorologist

Dr. Connor Chapman is an experienced meteorologist, climate scientist, geographer, and science communicator. With a career spanning research, teaching, and military service, Connor brings a diverse skillset and a passion for helping others to your weather and climate needs.

Starting from his childhood in Upstate New York, Connor developed a fascination for weather across all four seasons. These interests led him to study meteorology at SUNY Oneonta, where he served as president of the local American Meteorological Society (AMS) chapter. He then earned an M.S. and Ph.D. from Penn State, where he studied land-atmosphere interactions and precipitation patterns across the Central and Eastern United States. His research has been published in the Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology.

While completing his doctoral research, Connor has been working full-time as an educator and Air National Guard weather officer. With this background, he brings a strong work ethic, commitment to integrity, and relentless pursuit of excellence to every project and person he serves.
